Scientists are conducting experiments
with essential oils to test aromas and their effects upon people.
Airlines, hospitals, schools, and businesses are all interested
in the possibilities of increasing the efficiency of workers, improving
the mental abilities of students, and calming patients.
In Japan, Takasago, a fragrance manufacturer documented its research.
"They found that people operating computers and word processors
made 54 percent fewer keying errors when the air was diffused with
lemon, 33 percent fewer with jasmine, and 20 percent with lavender."
(From the Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy
by Valerie Ann Worwood.)
Another beneficial property of Lemon oil is its abilitity to purify
water. An excellent antiseptic and disinfectant, it can be used
in the kitchen to ensure cleanliness. Homemakers add it to dishwater
and rinse water for cutting boards and counters. With its refreshing
scent, Lemon oil enhances our modern lifestyle.
